Plus Teachers

Learn with Mummy Plus contains everything you need to teach English to children 3-6 year old and to their parents. The comprehensive training will equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary to:

• set the basis for children’s lifelong learning of English as a second language
• offer Playgroups for children 3-6 year old and their parents
• offer Playgroups for children 3-6 year old within school settings
• work independently, manage your work and communicate effectively what you offer

Also:
You will be highly trained to deliver the playgroups using stories, songs, books, audiobooks, acting out, games and activities with all our lesson plans and all our book series.

You will acquire fundamental knowledge and skills to manage relationships within the Playgroups and to support parents at home.

You will be featured on the Learn with Mummy’s website, from which parents can directly contact you.

Learn with Mummy Plus is a plan that will accompany you through a learning and teaching path. It is designed for passionate teachers who want to master a proven methodology, create lasting impact in children’s lives, and work with a variety of beautiful stories, books, songs and materials.

The Learn with Mummy Plus teacher is committed and focussed on her teaching.

Plus is for career changers who would like to drop the corporate world and start a new profession to balance work and personal life while nurturing their skills and passions.

For teachers who work with adults and would like to work with children with a proven methodology.

For anyone who loves children, has a very strong command of the English language, and wants to teach.

What you do NEED:

Love for children and a proactive attitude are necessary requirements for all Learn with Mummy teachers.

Native or near native command of the English language, i.e. C2 or equivalent, is required. Book a call to discuss whether this is right for you.

What you do NOT Need:

It is not necessary to register an individual business. (Note concerning Italy: Legal requirements for individual businesses – Partita IVA- depend on the volume of income you generate within the fiscal year. A facilitated tax system for small businesses might be worth considering: Regime Forfettario. You are advised to consult an expert – commercialista – for fiscal advice).

You do not need a dedicated location. You can rent one or more suitable locations for the hours that you need. As part of the training you will receive clear instructions regarding what constitutes a suitable location and how to negotiate a price for it.

What you’ll learn in your first year:

• Advanced: Learn with Mummy teaching methodology for 3-6 yo, Physical Storytelling through Bodylogue, Learn with Mummy Down Under Bodylogue, Learn with Mummy Down Under Lesson Plan 3-6 yo, Playgroups structure, Teaching children and parents together strategies
• Fundamentals: Playgroup management strategies, Marketing and business development, Motor skills development strategies
• Extra bonuses: up to 12 months complimentary detailed showcase on the Learn with Mummy’s website, up to 5 complimentary invitation to 1 to 1,5 days intensive in person training

Note: the Bodylogue is a storytelling tecnique for second language natural acquisition, based on the work of Bruner, Krashen and Taeschner.

All training will be delivered by a combination of asynchronous modules (that you can study at your pace) and of live online sessions. Every year you will be invited to attend an in person session in Verona (1 to 1,5 days).

The training can be conducted entirely online, though attendance to a yearly in person session is advisable.

It is comprised of asynchronous modules (study at your own time and pace), live sessions, practical sessions and assignments:

The total time requirement in your first year is of 240 hours:

Self Study Sessions: 54 hours
Live sessions: 21 hours
Individual study: 70 hours
Individual practice: 40 hours
Assignments: 20 hours
Playgroup: 28 hours
Filming: 3 hours
Final essay: 4 hours

The workload will decrease in the following years.

Plus is a solution that will accompany you along your teaching path for 5 or more years, helping you become the best teacher you can be.

The first year fees cover: attendance to all asynchronous training sessions, attendance to 7 live online sessions (5 minimum required), attendance to in person 1,5 days session (optional), enlisting in the Learn with Mummy teacher’s team, enlisting on the Learn with Mummy’s website, Learn with Mummy Down Under Bodylogue, 3-6 yo Lesson Plan, books and materials, assessment and certificate.

The price for the first year is:
1,190 Euros 890 Euros (early bird) + extra discounts for individual circumstances

Learn with Mummy Plus Teacher

After successfully completing each yearly training you will receive following certificates:

2026: Learn with Mummy Plus Teacher – Down Under (3-6 yo)
2027: Learn with Mummy Plus Teacher – in the Jungle (3-6 yo)
2028: Learn with Mummy Plus Teacher – in the Rockies (3-6 yo)
2029: Learn with Mummy Plus Teacher – in the Savannah (3-6 yo)

Training certifications are valid only while the teacher remains under an active license agreement. In the event of termination or resignation, the certificates lose their validity and cannot be used to market services under the Learn with Mummy brand.

All Plus teachers receive support to become excellent teachers.

Assessment is woven in the training program and teachers will only be allowed to proceed to the next training upon acquiring the current year’s certificate.

This program relies on teachers commitment and proactivity, hence no refunds are foreseen.
If you are in doubt you are advised to start as a Smart Teacher and then upgrade to Plus.

By enrolling on Plus you commit to progress.

Every year you will work on new materials, Lesson Plans and Bodylogue and you will receive the necessary training to do so.

At the end of the 5 years you will be knowledgeable and experienced in running Playgroups with and without parents for all age groups. You will be confident in your teaching skills and will be confident in exchanging views and doubts with your peers.

You will see teaching as an experience of personal growth and development.

The common path is for teachers to start in the Smart program and then upgrade to Plus or Pro.

Schedule a preliminary call to assess your fit with the program. Our Program Advisor will assess your command of the English language, your understanding of the Programs and your motivation.

If you pass the Program Advisor’s assessment, you will be sent an offer to enrol as a Smart teacher and a brand and content licensing agreement. If eligible you will be offered an early bird discount, which can lead to savings of more than 450 Euros + VAT.

If found suitable, within your first teaching year you will be offered the opportunity to upgrade to Plus or Pro. Should you switch to Plus or Pro before the end of January of your first teaching year, the fees you’ve already paid will be deducted from the total cost.

If you want to start on Plus:
If you wish to start directly on Plus you will be required to pay an assessment fee of 160 Euros Pro VAT. If approved, this fee can be credited toward your enrolment fees, provided you complete enrolment within five weeks. The Assessment process will include up to two 1 on 1 calls with Learn with Mummy’s founder to discuss your specific circumstances.

Enrolments are open from March 25th 2025 to September 3rd 2025.
Anybody enrolling after June the 30th might be required to attend the in person Session, see schedule and objectives in the detailed programme.
